After splitting the first 2 games of 3 game series, the Phillies and Marlins played final game of series from Marlins Park. The Pitching matchup was Cole Hamels against Marlins Brad Hand. Sandberg keeps the same up as last night, but the only change was Kevin Frandsen getting start at 1st base & Darin Ruf in right field & Freddy Galvis at 3rd base

It would be the Adeiny Hechavarria show in this one. The Marlins shortstop triples to center scoring in the 2nd inning to score Justin Ruggiano & Placido Polanco for a 2-0 lead. Cole Hamels picked up his 200th strikeout of the season when he strikes out Justin Ruggiano in the 3rd inning. The Phillies finally get on the board in the 7th inning when Freddy Galvis singles on a soft line drive to right scoring Darin Ruf to cut lead to 2-1. Then Cesar Hernandez singles to right scoring  Kevin Frandsen  to tie game at 2. The Marlins would retake the lead in 8th inning when Adeiny Hechavarria reaches on a fielder's choice Scoring Justin Ruggiano for 3-2 lead. The Phillies could not respond in 9th , the Marlins hold on for a 3-2 win and take 2 of 3 denying Cole Hamels his 100th career win.

With the Loss the Phillies fall to 4th Place in NL East. Cole Hamels go 6 innings, 5 hits, 2 runs, 2 walks, 6 strikeouts on 103 pitches. Phillies end season with 4 games in Atlanta on Thursday
