Raised in the countryside just outside of Shamokin, Bob graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School in Coal Township in 1998 and (after a two and a half year stop at Allentown College/DeSales University in Center Valley) graduated from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove in 2002.
Bob is engaged and has two sons: Brodey and Cade.
Someone at "Scientific American" decided to estimate how much coffee the characters on "Friends" drank over the show's 10 seasons.
As you may recall, the six Friends used to guzzle from 20-ounce mugs at the Central Perk coffee shop. The magazine arbitrarily decided that each character had two of those cups per episode.
6 characters x 40 ounces per episode per character x 236 episodes = 445 GALLONS of coffee.
That's three pounds of coffee, using the Starbucks standard of 480 milligrams of caffeine per 20-ounce coffee.
And three pounds of caffeine is enough to kill 300 people if you gave it to them all at once.
Now, if you take each "Friends" episode as one day in a week of these people's lives, and you add in six more days for each episode, then you're talking about a lot more coffee.
They would have actually drank 3,100 gallons over the course of the season . . . which would include enough caffeine to sicken or kill 1,900 people.
